Speed, strength, pedigree and precocity are all hugely important qualities in a successful stallion, and Marcel has them in abundance.

His impressive performance in winning the Gr.1 Racing Post Trophy on just his third start as a 2yo was enough to see his Timeform rating rise to 118; putting him in the company of Air Force Blue and Shalaa in the highest rated 2yo colts of 2015.

His trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam cannot speak highly enough of Marcel, “I have been training for a long time and Marcel had a quality that only exceptional athletes have….Frankel had it also….he was exceptionally light on his feet, he just floated over
the ground”.

By leading sire Lawman and out of a Northern Dancer line mare, he will suit a wide range of mares. His book will be limited to just 80; and with owner Paul Makin behind him looking to support his progeny, coupled with Marcel’s strong and athletic physique, we are sure he will prove popular with breeders.
