We don’t actually have to rub noses, but let’s at least start by getting to know each other.

PUTS YOU IN THE SADDLE....

1

This is your syndicate

Racehorse ownership is not an investment for financial gain, but it is an interest like no other.

You should get what you want from your involvement in Racing.

2

The First Step

We meet and have a chat.

How does Sporting Chance Racing work? What are your objectives?

There’s no better way to inform your ideas than with a ‘Taster’.

Enjoy a proper ‘behind the scenes’ look at the sport with us, on the gallops, in the stables, or a day at the Races, or both!

3

Decide on your programme

By creating your own syndicate you will spread the cost of racehorse ownership.

We will help with all the important things, advising on a plan based on each member and what preferences they have.

But we believe in a high degree of personalisation, so you are involved.

4

One upfront payment

After calculating the cost for each member for the first year, this payment is made up front and the syndicate is formed.
5

PURCHASE YOUR HORSE

We will advise on a purchase that best suit your needs, be it a yearling, breeze up, horse in training or a private sale.

With regular communication and advice from the start we keep in touch all the way.

A review towards the end of the year will give you options to keep or sell.

6

...AND WE’RE OFF!

If you’re new to racing you will learn quickly that experience counts for a lot.

We use ours to ensure your interests are properly served, whilst encouraging you to get as close as you like to the whole process.

Come to the Sales, meet the trainers and jockeys on the gallops and get to know your horse back in the stable.

But, if you want to just see your horse run, we will be there with you at the Races!

Meet Mandy Davis

Having grown up around horses, from early days of Pony Clubbing to later Show Jumping and Eventing as a teenager, Mandy first set foot in Newmarket, the headquarters of horse racing whilst on a placement during her Biology degree. Upon completion of her studies she returned and embarked on a career in Equine Science as well as riding out for two of the most prominent trainers in town, Michael Stoute and William Haggas.
Her career has since taken her to Dubai where coinciding with the inception of Godolphin, she set up and managed the diagnostic laboratory in the brand new Equine Hospital there supporting the fast growing population of racing and competition horses within the Emirates.

In a busy life in Newmarket, she continues to work within the racing industry, managing owners bloodstock interests, in Veterinary science and in equine commercial photography.

An intimate knowledge of racing

Built up over many years of experience near and far, from riding out, to enjoying days out with owners at the races, working alongside Veterinary surgeons and trainers, together with her passion for photography, Mandy has built up a vast network of racing contacts and good working relationships across the broad spectrum of the thoroughbred racing industry. As a manager she is able to draw on this.
She knows equally well how to treat a horse, the owner, the trainer, jockey and all.

A critical eye for a horse

Also, a talented equine photographer, Mandy receives regular commissions from notable trainers and owners, as well as specific requests from bloodstock agents and local businesses.
From the gallops or the racecourse, stables or Stud paddocks, she can often be found with camera in hand.
Many of Mandy’s photos have been used on this website, but more can be found elsewhere online and in various publications.
