LANDSCAPE FOREMAN

Main Roles/Responsibilities

The Landscape Foreman is responsible for the installation and management of landscape and hard landscape projects. The foreman is responsible for completing landscape and hard landscape installations with great precision and business minded efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Liaise with Contracts Manager to understand full scope of landscape projects
• Interpret site drawings and plans with the ability to successfully implement landscape projects.
• Track and monitor all project expenses accurately, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked.
• Communicating project progress/milestones with team members and clients.
• Manage personnel effectively and efficiently.
• Direct activities on the project site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating workflow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machinery.
• Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for required maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe site at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage assigned Landscape Operatives.
• Ensure that all team members utilise all required personal protective
• Ensure that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Ensure that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
• Interact with clients where necessary in order to help ensure job satisfaction.
• Supervise all team members during the performance of all assigned work.
• Lead by example.
• Follow directions from Contracts Manager.
• Ensure that all safety rules and company health & safety policies are adhered to.
• Communicate well with all team members, Manager(s), and clients.
• Strive to improve team job skills and develop the potential for promotion.
• Monitor all tools equipment and machinery for required maintenance.
• Train team members in the development of best practices of installation to Company standards.

Skills and experience:

• 3+ years relevant industry experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Full Driver’s License
• Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, diggers, and other construction equipment as needed
• Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hard landscape applications
• Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated
• Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
• Verbal & written communications skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background (i.e. clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and designers)
• Clean and professional appearance
• Punctual and dependable

Garden Maintenance Operative

Main Roles/Responsibilities

Fulfil all maintenance contracts efficiently to ensure delivery to company expectation and client satisfaction.

Deliver maintenance work to contracted specifications within the contract terms.

Essential Functions

• The successful delivery of soft landscaping domestic and commercial projects
• Execution of projects to strict deadlines and budgets
• Adhere to Company health & safety procedures
• Liaison with clients, subcontractors, designers, and other external contractors on site.
• Ensure all work is carried out to a consistently high standard
• Follow a schedule and fulfil the required hours
• Responsible for due care of machinery
• Safe use and care of power tools

Key Skills

• Willingness to learn all garden techniques: correct pruning, plant care and identification, pest and disease management, planting, lawn care
• Hard working and physically fit
• Conscientious and have a good eye for detail
• Good communicator with-in team and with clients
• Used to working in all weather
• Punctual

Skills and experience:
